Rome Rotary Mardi Gras

The Rome Rotary Mardi Gras event was held at the Elks Club on the 28th of February 2010. The Club provided several main dishes and beer, wine and soda. The members brought their favorite dishes for the occasion. The food was all outstanding. The party was organized by Jackie Corbett and Maria Ramos who had help from some of the members.

Barb Evans made a Kings cake containing one pecan. Craig Summers had the pecan in his slice and was crowned King by Barb. He chose his wife Mary as Queen. Rock Versace toasted that we the subjects are all nothing therefore he is King of nothing. Dave Kobernuss was appointed court jester and gave us a few jokes of various hilarity. Dick Kahler and Donna Schonewetter each led us in songs. Joe Fusco did a Rock 'n Roll number. Wii games were also included for further entertaiment. A great time was had by all.
