Board Meeting Minutes-January 18 2010

Call to Order A& Roll Call: President Herrman called the meeting to order at 5:16 pm.

Previous Minutes(Herrman) The Minutes of the November 16,2009 and December 21,2009 were unanimously approved on motion of Joe Fusco and seconded by Bill Tuthill.

President Report(Herrmann) President Herrmann brought up the By-laws and the constitution. Sandy Latimer had a questions regarding page 4 where it stated 14 days to report a makeup. Glen Bahr had made the motion to accept and Sandy Latimer had seconded.

The By-Laws will be discussed at next month’s board meeting. President Bob also brought up the Haiti situation and stated we shouldhold off until we go over the Treasurer’s Report.

The Polio Piggy Banks are being put out on the table at every Rotary Meeting, $27.00 has been collected so far. The Thursday night meeting is also passing the Piggy banks around and will report on a monthly basis.

We are possible thinking of having a pancake breakfast in February. Missy stated we will wait to see our financial situation first and then go from there.

Attendance: Pres Bob would like the Secretaries to get a report together of members that have 50% Attendance. Which would consist of 30% at our own club and 20% makeups. And a report of those that have missed four consecutive meetings. Example: Pam Goodison who has transferred from the Utica Club, hasn’t been to a meeting in a long time . President Bob had stated to also have a note in the newsletter about that each member has to attend 60% of the meeting weekly. A member can’t just sign in and leave.

Secretary Report,:

Member Proposals: None Leaves Of Absences: None Resigantion: James Cobb has resigned

It was discussed of member that still owe Dues as of 12/31/09 for Hairston, Martin and Ramineni. Sec Debbie, had stated that Sec Greg is sending out letters.

Dave Kobernuss had stated that he saw Peter Capponi and he is interested in possible re-joining.

Treasurer’s Report: The Treasurer’s report was received and duly recorded.

Dave Kobernuss had stated he thought we need to have a financial meeting, everyone agreed.

Area Reports :

Membership: Carey Public Relations: Mattacola Club Adminstration: Rotary Auction: Missy stated she will give a report next month. New Fundraising ideas: Joe Fusco had stated Louise Glasso is looking into how we would be able to possible do our calendar raffle. Sec Debbie had mentioned possible a fundraider like the Elks club ahs Joe Fusco stated he will contact someone he knows to see how it works.

Club Projects: Fusco , nothing to report.

Canalfest Dave Kobernuss stated we are waiting till our budget meeting to discuss.

The Rotary Foundation: Tuthill: Bill stated book sales have generated $175.00. Polio so far we have raised $2375.00.

Grant Request: Weed N Seed, Joe Fusco made a motion to tabe this for next month and it was seconded by Missy Graves, until we get more information. And that Sec Greg to send out a letter requesting more information of how the money would be used.

Elections : Glen a had stated we have a tie for the third position, and there were no losers. There were six candidates and six postions to fill. The board had advised as follows:

Dir -13 ( term July 1 2010 to June 30 2013 Glen Bahr-reelected

Joe Gray elected Grace Bottini re-elected breaking the tie with Karin Tuthill.

Dir 12 (ter expires June 30 2012) Dave Kobernuss (incumbent) Bill Tuthill (Incumbent) Karin Tuthill (Appointed)

Dir 11(term expires June 30, 2011) Bill Wolf ( Incumbent) Clark Speicher (appointed) Carol Mooney (appointed)

Dir 10 (term expires June 30 2010) Glen Bahr (incumbent) Grace Bottini (appointed ) Joe Gray (appointed)

All four officer ran unopposed and thus were elected: Missy Graves Pres elect beginning July 1 2010 Pres beginning July 1, 2011 and past pres beginning July 1, 2012 Bob Bird-Vice Pres ( term July 1, 2010-June 20 2013) Greg Mattacol & Debbie Adamo-Co-Secretaries ( July 1, 2010-June 2013) Sandie Latimer-Treasurer (term July 1 2010-June 30, 2013)

Bill Tuthill made a motion and seconded by Sandi for Pres Bob to bring up at the Tues and Thur meeting to possible make a donation to Haiti.
