This is perhaps the best reason for becoming a Rotarian: the chance to do something for somebody else and to sense the self-fulfillment that comes in the process and return of that satisfaction to one’s own life. It is richly rewarding.

Four Way Test

"Of the things we think, say or do:

1. Is it the TRUTH?

2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?

3. Will it build GOODWILL and better FRIENDSHIPS?

4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?"

What is Rotary?

Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide, who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

Rotary is the world’s first service club. The first Rotary Club was founded in Chicago on February 23, 1905.

There are more than 1.2 million service-minded women and men belonging to more than 32,000 Rotary clubs in 200 nations and geographical areas in the world.

Rotarians meet weekly for fellowship and interesting and informational programs dealing with topics of local and global importance. Membership reflects a wide cross section of community representation.

Rotarians plan and carry out a remarkable variety of humanitarian, educational, and cultural exchange programs that touch people’s lives in their local communities and world community.

The Rotary Foundation provides over $100 million each year for international scholarships, cultural exchanges, and humanitarian projects large and small that improve the quality of life for millions of people. Rotary is widely regarded as the world’s largest private provider of international educational scholarships.

Rotary International is largely responsible for the eradication of polio throughout the entire world! This amazing accomplishment demonstrates Rotary’s commitment to service and its international focus.
