Some of Rome Rotary’s involvement in the local community and beyond includes:
► Sponsoring international Youth Exchange students — both inbound and outbound.
► Presenting scholarships to college-bound-local students.
► Recognizing the Rome Rotary Teacher-of-the-Year.
► Providing an annual Christmas Party for more than 100 needy children with Santa and gifts of coats, boots, toys, and other holiday items.
► Sponsoring an annual Christmas Party for the senior citizens in the Rome Memorial Hospital Residential Healthcare Facility.
► The annual 4th of July Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Revolutionary War Soldiers in Rome.

Giving
the annual Roses-for-the-Living award to an outstanding community volunteer.
► Monthly contributions of food and money for local food kitchens to feed the poor and hungry in this area.
► Sponsoring a Rome Little League Team for more than 50 years.

Participating
in the Rotary District 7150 Gift-of-Vision Program that provides eye surgery
and corneas to people from around the world.
► Ringing the bell for the Salvation Army each holiday season.
► Providing an annual Halloween parade and party for the children of the community.

What is Rotary?

► Rotary is the world’s first service club. The first Rotary Club was founded in Chicago on February 23, 1905.
